Before Your Procedure

Lash Extensions
You need to remove lash extensions at least one to two days – or ideally a week – before your procedure to give lash extension glue time to disappear. Even small amounts of lash glue can interfere with the application of ink. You can reapply your lash extensions once your tattoo has healed.
Natural Blood Thinners
Stop taking as aspirin, fish oil, and other ‘natural’ products that thin the blood for at least three days prior to your procedure. If you take prescription blood thinners, consult your doctor for advice.
Contact Lenses
Remove contact lenses before your procedure, and don’t put them back in until any tenderness or redness has vanished.
Lash Serums
Lash serums must have been discontinued at least 30 days prior to having Permanent Eyeliner.
Latisse Brand may require discontinued use 2-6 Months prior to Permanent Eyeliner, depending on how long you have been using the product. Please consult your artist if you have used Latisse lash serum.

Permanent Eyeliner FAQ

There are many benefits to eyeliner tattooing, including:
It’s smudge-proof and waterproof.
It accentuates your eye shape and color without the need for traditional makeup eyeliner.
You don’t need to apply eyeliner every day!
Swelling is normal within the first 12 to 24 hours after getting permanent eyeliner. For the first night and the morning following, we recommend wiping down the eye area with sterile cotton and distilled water. Dry heal as much as possible, add Aquaphor only if needed. Do not use mascara or eye makeup until fully healed.
Eyeliner is completed in 2 sessions 6-8 weeks apart. We schedule 3 hours to be safe, but the speed of the procedure comes down to how still you are able to keep your eyelid. Some sessions may take 90 minutes, others may take the full 3 hours.
While this procedure can be a little uncomfortable for some clients, we use a topical numbing agent, apply the first pass of color, and then use a secondary numbing agent to ensure minimal discomfort.
We will need to do a short consult, either in person, or by text or email with clear images of the eyelid. There are many factors that are considered with the permanent eyeliner procedure and we will guide you to make sure you have beautiful lasting results that will age well with you. The eyes must not have any broken capillaries present in the area to be tattooed.
If you choose a brown eyeliner pigment, permanent eyeliner tattoo should last between 12-18 months before needing a touch up. If you choose black eyeliner pigment, permanent eyeliner tattoo should last between 18months-36 months or longer.
